The rollout runs in stages. A Los Angeles pop-up opens August 1 and 2, followed by a New York pop-up at Complex on August 8 and a VANDYTHEPINK online drop the same day. The wider global release lands August 14 through ASICS and select retailers, but only the Vanilla pair goes global. The Chocolate colorway stays exclusive to the pop-ups and VANDYTHEPINK's online store, so if you want that one, the early dates are your window. What we know about the design
Both pairs build on the Gel-Kayano 12.1, the retro runner ASICS has leaned on for its recent lifestyle collabs. The Vanilla starts from an off-white mesh base and the Chocolate from a brown one, and both wear metallic silver overlays for a 2000s running look. The details carry the theme: floral hangtags at the lateral heel, a graphic insole with a personified ice cream cone, and VANDYTHEPINK's name in Korean on the tongue in place of the usual Japanese characters, a nod to founder Son's Korean American background. At $195, these sit above a general-release Kayano but in line with recent ASICS collab pricing.
