Community Guidelines

Last updated: August 24, 2026

1. Who these guidelines apply to

These guidelines apply to everyone who posts a photo, writes a comment, or rates a post on SneakersBook. By posting, you agree to follow them, along with our Terms of Service.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Accounts that break these rules can lose the ability to post, or be removed entirely.

2. Post your own kicks

Kicks of the Day is for showing off footwear you own or wear.

  • Only upload photos you took yourself, or have the right to share.
  • Do not pass off someone else's photo as your own.
  • Do not post photos of other people without their permission.
  • Keep the focus on the shoes and the fit.

3. Content that is never allowed

The following will be removed, and posting it may cost you your account:

  • Nudity, sexual or pornographic material of any kind.
  • Any sexual content involving minors. This is reported to the authorities.
  • Hate speech, slurs, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation.
  • Harassment, bullying, or threats of violence against anyone.
  • Violent or graphic imagery.
  • Content that encourages self-harm or suicide.
  • Sale or promotion of drugs, weapons, or other illegal goods.
  • Other people's private information, including addresses and phone numbers.
  • Spam, phishing, or repetitive promotional posting.

4. Selling, replicas and authentication

Honest discussion about authenticity is welcome. Sneaker collectors talk about legit checks, and that is a normal part of the hobby.

  • Do not advertise or sell counterfeit footwear.
  • Do not use posts or comments to run off-platform payment scams.
  • Do not accuse someone of selling fakes as a way to harass them.

5. How we enforce these guidelines

Moderation happens in three layers:

  • An automated filter checks captions and comments before they are posted, and refuses wording that breaks these rules.
  • Content reported by several people is hidden automatically while we review it.
  • Our team reviews reported content and aims to act within 24 hours.

Depending on what we find, we may remove the content, restrict an account's ability to post, or terminate the account. Serious violations result in immediate removal without warning.

6. How to report or block someone

  • To report a post: open it and tap the ⋯ menu, then Report.
  • To report a comment: tap the flag icon next to it.
  • To block someone: open one of their posts, tap ⋯, then Block user. You will stop seeing their posts and comments.
  • To manage or undo blocks: go to Profile → Settings → Blocked accounts.

If something is urgent or involves a risk to someone's safety, email us directly rather than waiting on the in-app report.

7. Appeals

If we removed something and you believe we got it wrong, email us with your username and a description of what was removed. We will take another look and reply.
